WHO ARE WE AND
WHAT DO WE DO?
In the summer of 1988,
Children’s Theatre of Elgin (CTE)
presented its very first show, Snow White. In 1993, Fox Valley Youth
Theatre (FVYT) was created to enhance CTE’s programming by encouraging young
adults to continue with their theatrical pursuits. Fox Valley Theatre Company
(FVTC) was incorporated In 2006 as a separate entity to better meet the artistic
needs of our older performers.
During our 21-year run we
have seen some amazing young people participate in our shows. Many of them are
now working on Broadway, performing professionally in national and international
tours, teaching in schools and studios, and generally making a significant
contribution to society. Some statistics about our shows:

Productions: 84
